Part of the Q&A series, Wallflower is a very personal and emotional piece. It explores themes of femininity, and gender expectations. "I felt that no one wanted me to stand out or be confrontational - no one wanted to see my face, not even as a painting on their wall, everyone wanted just another faceless image, they dont want the reality of anothers human existence. In life and in art they wanted me in the background, fitting in to the preconceived ideals of femininity. Blending in."
